Pro-Life in Mississippi

The most mis-named movement in the U.S. is the pro-life movement.  Anti-abortion, yes.  Anti-woman, yes.  Pro-life?  No way.

Mississippi is one of those proud Republican-dominated states that has made it impossible for women to get abortions.  It also has one of the highest, if not the highest, infant mortality rates in the U.S.

All over the state rural hospitals are closing down, making health care for rural residents almost impossible.  This is because Mississippi has opted against accepting federal funds for the expansion of Medicaid.  According to Mississippi officials, their goal is to keep government spending in check.  If babies die, no biggie.
