The January/February issue of The Atlantic contains articles on what will likely happen if Trump wins. The articles explain what Trump plans to do with career federal bureaucrats (make them appointments subject to firing), about corruption (we will have a Mafia state), with the military (he’ll appoint people like Flynn, and there are enough in the armed services to do that), to journalism (favorites will get the stories and everything critical will be fake news), about the climate (not only will nothing be done but policies will be deliberately adopted to make things worse), with the judiciary (a list of potential toady judges has already been drawn up), and about foreign policy (Russia, North Korea, and Netanyahu should gain favor; former allies are ignored). There are articles on civil rights, on science, on immigration–none of it good.
This will be a much different country. The guardrails of the Constitution will be dismantled. Republican leaders in Congress, judges, and Republican state legislatures will go along.
And voters reject Biden because he is too old?
I was going to comment, but my magnet got wet.
