Rep. Doyle Heffley's Facebook message

I’m not on Facebook, never have been, never will be.  I have learned that people say really dumb things on Facebook that they would never say in person.  They denigrate, they insult, they exaggerate, they lie.

Thus when I was presented with Rep. Heffley’s Facebook message of Friday, March 29, I was willing to cut him some slack.  He posted “House Democrats Pushed Unconstitutional Attack on Legal Gun Owners.”  He went on to say:   “On Wednesday, radical House Democrats, who have the majority, voted for House Bill 777, which would ban gun parts for Pennsylvanians.  This is another calculated move by House Democrats that aligns with their progressive agenda of government-control [sic] and socialism.”

The Bill actually concerns “ghost guns.”  None of the House Democrats are “socialists,” nor are they trying to prevent me from buying a scope for my 22.  They are trying to prevent untraceable guns from falling into the wrong hands.

Rep. Heffley actually knows that.  It isn’t his fault that he posts such silly things.  Blame Facebook.

  1. I'm not that big a fan of Facebook. But sometimes people say things that make you think, or inspire you or even give you joy or are just what need to hear. It depends on who your friends are.

    It is crap software, though.

  2. Heffley does none of those things.
