I didn’t post last night because our electricity was out from 7:30 until about two in the morning. Evidently the wind blew a tree down on the line. We had candles and flashlights, but no computer, no TV, no music, no electric stove, no refrigerator, no heat, and no water.
How easy it would be for an enemy power to bring this country to its knees if it were able to hack into the electric grid and mess it up just for a week or two. I’m guessing the Defense Department is well aware of that possibility and has taken steps. Or maybe not.
We too lost power. Every time the wind blows over 35 MPH something happens. It usually is a downed tree. I guess the electric companies believe it cost effective to them to just repair instead of paying tree trimmers to keep lines clear. I need to get wood stove cleaned and ready to go. Winter does get cold sometimes. When weatherman says high winds coming, get the generator hooked up and ready to start, or install an automatic generator system.
