President Biden nominated Jennifer Sung to the U.S. Court of Appeals. Republicans were upset because Ms. Sung signed a letter from Yale Law School students, alumni, and educators that called Justice Kavanaugh an “intellectually and morally bankrupt ideologue intent on rolling back our rights and the rights of our clients.”
Ms. Sung apologized for the letter, saying it was “overheated.”
It wasn’t overheated. It was the absolute truth. I would have asked the Republicans to point out anything in that statement that wasn’t true. She didn’t get the vote of a single Republican anyway.
