Mahoning Township Supervisor Linda Benner died in an automobile accident late last week. I met her through politics--she was the Vice President of the Lehighton Area Democratic Club. I am a co-secretary of that organization.
She was intelligent, and, I believe, a good supervisor, putting the interests of the people of Mahoning Township before any personal ideology. She also had an amazing sense of humor and a wit that might be described as “barbed.”
I was going to say she was a good political friend when I realized I could drop the word political. I will miss her.
