Predictions

In the wake of the massacre of the Connecticut children, some of whom were the age of our grandson, I predict three things:
1.  gun stores will report a rush on handgun purchases by people who are fearful that sales of such weapons may be restricted.
2.  no meaningful legislation related to handguns or assault rifles will be passed.
3.  another mass killing will take place within the next six months.  But we know the drill, don’t we?  The candles, the flowers, the vigils, the grief counselors, the interviews, the somber tones of the reporters.  I’m sick of it.

  1. You are correct on all three statements. I did take the time to email our current congressman (Roskam) I seriously doubt if he will do anything, except maybe a prayer for the families. We really need better gun control in this country.

I'm not advocating taking rifles away from hunters. But, we do need controls on assault weapons and high capacity clips, not to mention hand gun sales and semi automatic guns. We also need 100% background checks on all gun sales and transfers. A fee should also be in order for these sales and transfers.

I'm sorry if anyone disagrees but how many more innocents must die before something is done.

Sorry to say, here in Illinois we just had two of three federal judges side with the NRA on concealed carry. More will die.
