When the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade, and I’m fairly certain it will, the battle will begin. Abortion in states like New York, New Jersey, and California will continue to be safe and legal. Abortion in states like Mississippi and Texas will be illegal. Women with money will still be able to get abortions, but they must travel to other states where it is legal.
Poor women will continue to get abortions as well, but some will die and other will be arrested for attempting to abort.
What about states like Pennsylvania, where the population is split? Those states will be battle grounds. Those states will see bitter fights between the forces who think women are human beings who should control their reproductive rights and those who think women are subject the the dictates of the state that wants to keep them in their place as somewhat less than human.
