The most recent issue of The Nation (Nov. 18. 2013) notes that our last three presidents smoked marijuana, although Bill Clinton didn’t inhale. George W. said he “was young and foolish.” President Obama said, “I inhaled frequently--that was the point.”
Think about this for a moment. The last three leaders of the most powerful nation on earth have done what thousands of people are serving long prison terms for doing the very same thing.
It is time we legalized marijuana. It is past that time.

ReplyDeleteWe are putting too many people in jail, paying too much for the incarceration, for a victimless crime. Also, it is a proven fact that the war on drugs is a war on minorities.
Marijuana has many uses medically. It is time for Pennsylvania to have this debate not just lock people up!
The Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania been saying that for years. Thank you poor-roy. As the chair of the Lehigh Valley LP which covers carbon and lehigh counties I would be glad to work with nonl ibertarians on subjects we agree on. It is going to take We The People too regain our Republic not political parties!
