ReplyDeleteWhat would a 24 hour waiting period do the name already gets ran through the state police background check? If it’s not going to pop there you won’t get anything more waiting 24hrs.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of a waiting period is not to check the name. It is to provide a "cooling off" period. The people who oppose abortion believe that if a pregnant woman has to wait 24 hours, she may change her mind. I'm not sure if that has any effect, but a growing number of states are adopting the 24 hour "cooling off " period. If you are angry and are able to get a weapon and ammo immediately, you might be more likely to use it than if you had 24 hours to cool down.
