Shrinking Attention Spans

According to an article in the review section of the Sunday Times, research confirms that the average attention span has shrunk in recent years–from about two and a half minutes in 2004 to around 45 seconds today.  In honor of that:  


Landscape equipment emits nearly 27 million tons of pollutants a year, per estimates.  A gas-powered leaf blower used for an hour generates the same amount of emissions as a car driving 1,100 miles.


The average annual income of farmworkers in CA is between $20,000 and $25,000, according to the U.S. Labor Department.


The Federal Election Commission does not  have the power to look in bank accounts and must take campaign finance disclosure reports at face value.
